Platypus Watch Moreton Bay Region Community Program

24 October @ 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM AEST

Hello wonderful humans interested in *Platypus*. 😊

On Sunday the 24th of October 2021 there will be an information session/workshop held at the Dayboro Community Hall, all about the amazing Platypus.

What is happening at the event?

We will be talking about platypus in general, identification when out and about, signs of platypus activity, some history, hazards and conservation.

We will also be talking about the survey that is up and coming for platypus conservation, currently focusing on the catchment creeks leading off of Lake Samsonvale as Dayboro District creek systems are host to a number of platypus colonies.

We are very privileged to have guest speaker Tamielle Brunt joining us to talk about the incredible platypus, along with what the PlatypusWatch Network national scheme is about and some wonderful things that they have achieved through surveying for conservation.
It starts at 3pm and will run for a few hours. There is no cost to attend, although it is optional to bring a share plate/drinks as this is a community based event.
Ian Flinders and I encourage you to bring your family and friends that are passionate about Platypus or just want to learn more, as this will be a very informative event.

How to register to attend?

Interest can be registered:

Please RSVP to either of these.
Also, if you are interested in joining the survey to document these wonderful mammals in their natural environments, feel free to join the group listed above.
It will be wonderful to see all you passionate platypus people there.
